  • Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm with OT available at penalty rates
  • Rotational call out roster approx every 4 weeks for 1 week at a time. All call outs at double time.

Our client is Australian owned, specialising in mechanical solutions through mobile onsite service mostly across industrial, mining and manufacturing sites. Due to growth, we're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work to join their team as a Field Service Technician. Within this role you will provide consistent and accurate assembly, supply and installation of components. The successful candidate will be provided with full product and job training.

Please note, this role will require you to successfully complete a Coal Board Medical as you will be servicing mine sites in the Hunter Valley region.
  
The Role:
 
  • Assemble, supply and installation of mechanical components to equipment and machinery ensuring customer requirements and expectations are met
  • Maintain customer records with all necessary information regarding orders, quotes and product information 
  • Attend all assigned service calls
  • Upselling of service and products whilst on customer service calls 
  • Ensure all policy, procedures and safety requirements are adhered to at all times
 
 What we're looking for:

  • Mechanical aptitude and hands on experience as a Service Technician, Trade Assistant or similar
  • Ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices accurately
  • Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
  • Desire to be a team player
  • Ability to arrange and plan priorities
  • Anticipate problems and be pro-active in finding solutions
  • Strong understanding of customer service
  • Have an understanding of OHS and Safe Work Practices
  • Ability to carry out instructions
  • Be well presented and groomed
  • Flexibility with working hours as after-hours availability is a pre-requisite (rotational on call roster).
  • Customer service focused with the ability to build client relationships
