Looking for a career rather than just a job?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our growing cabinetry business as a Junior Estimator / Drafter. No previous joinery experience is required – we are looking for someone with strong computer skills, a good head for numbers and a genuine willingness to learn.

This is an excellent opportunity for a school leaver, TAFE graduate or someone looking to establish a long-term career in the building and manufacturing industry.

About the Role

You will receive on-the-job training while learning how to:

  • Read and understand building and joinery plans

  • Prepare quotations and estimates for cabinetry projects

  • Create production drawings for design and manufacturing

  • Communicate with customers and builders

  • Assist with project administration and documentation

  • Learn industry software and drafting systems

  • Work closely with experienced estimators, drafters and production staff

What We're Looking For

  • Strong computer skills and confidence learning new software

  • Good maths and problem-solving abilities

  • High attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Friendly and outgoing personality

  • Confidence speaking with customers and asking questions

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable but Not Essential

  • Experience using Excel

  • Interest in construction, design, engineering or manufacturing

  • Experience with CAD software or technical drawing

  • Completion of Year 12, TAFE studies or similar qualifications
