Road Workers – Heatherbrae Transport NSW

Pay Rate: $43.91 per hour + Super
Hours: 8.5 hrs per day / 76 hrs per fortnight – 9-day fortnight
Duration: ASAP start until 23/12/2026 + Possibility of Extension

About the Role 
Transport for NSW is seeking Road Workers with proven Positrac/Skid Steer and Zero Turn Mower experience to join the maintenance team based in Heatherbrae.

You’ll be part of a close-knit crew delivering essential road maintenance and repair activities across the local road network, helping to keep NSW roads safe and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of routine and repetitive physical tasks using hand and power tools
  • Operate Positrac/Skid Steer machinery and Zero Turn Mowers as part of roadside maintenance activities
  • Support skilled trades and machinery operators in road construction and maintenance
  • Undertake routine maintenance activities including:
    • Pavement and pothole repairs
    • Guardrail, sign and guide post installation
    • Vegetation and roadside maintenance
    • Rubbish collection and call-outs
    • Traffic control duties
To be considered, you must have demonstrated experience operating both:
  • Positrac/Skid Steer machinery
  • Zero Turn Mowers
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience operating Positrac/Skid Steer machinery
  • Proven experience operating Zero Turn Mowers
  • White Card
  • WOF (Workers on Foot)
  • Current Driver Licence (MR Licence desirable)
  • Traffic Control Ticket (or willingness to obtain)
  • Police Check
