Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to lead our busy workshop in Newcastle West. 

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring technicians, driving workshop performance, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes. 

 

About the Role 

As Workshop Foreman, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction targets are consistently achieved. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will provide technical leadership, support your team, and help maintain a safe and efficient working environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead, mentor and support a team of technicians and apprentices  

• Provide advanced diagnostics and technical assistance on complex repairs  

• Drive workshop productivity and performance against key KPIs  

• Ensure repairs and servicing are completed safely, accurately and on time  

• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality  

• Promote and uphold workplace health and safety standards  

• Assist with workflow planning and resource allocation  

 

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will bring: 

• Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman or Senior Technician within the automotive industry  

• Strong diagnostic and technical skills across vehicle servicing and repairs  

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (essential)  

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team  

• Experience managing workshop performance and achieving KPIs  

• Excellent communication and customer service skills  

• Current driver's licence
