Service Electrician / Service Tradesperson

Newcastle, NSW | Full-Time | Maintenance & Installation

PLE Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Service Tradesperson to join our growing team based in Newcastle. This full-time role covers Newcastle, the Central Coast, and the Hunter region, delivering electrical maintenance and installation services across commercial, residential, and industrial sites.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing a mix of maintenance, fault finding, upgrades, and installation work across a variety of sites.

Key Responsibilities

• General commercial electrical maintenance

• Residential switchboard and mains upgrades

• Main switchboard upgrades (100A–1000A+)

• Scheduled preventative maintenance

• Generator installations (50A–800A+)

• Complex fault finding and diagnostics

• Small to medium commercial electrical works

• Ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and safety requirements

• Maintaining accurate job records and reporting

• Support and mentor apprentices and junior tradespeople

About You

• Qualified electrician with current NSW electrical licence

• Proven experience in service, maintenance, or installation work

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Current driver’s licence
