North Island Corporation is seeking a confident, creative, and proactive Content & Social Media Creator to join our growing marketing team. We operate within the building and construction industry, delivering high-quality projects across residential and commercial sectors.

Operating across residential and commercial construction, lifestyle communities, manufacturing, and civil works, we have no shortage of stories to tell. This role offers variety and the opportunity to create content across multiple brands, projects, and audiences.

We're looking for someone who not only understands content and social media but is equally comfortable stepping onto a construction site, building relationships with site supervisors and trades, and capturing compelling stories as they happen.

This is not a desk-only role. You'll spend your time in the office, on site, behind the camera, and occasionally in front of it.

THE ROLE

Part 1 - Content Creation

Approximately 60% of your role

  • Produce high-quality, on-brand content across photo, video, and copy formats tailored to each platform and audience.

  • Capture and edit photo and video content, including drone footage, to support social media, marketing campaign and business initiatives.

  • Craft compelling copywriting and storytelling across captions, scripts, and campaign messaging to engage and connect with target audiences.

  • Identify emerging trends, tools, and platform updates to keep content innovative and relevant.

  • Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all content and communication channels.

  • Contribute content ideas that support broader marketing objectives and business growth.

Part 2 - Social Media & Campaign Support

Approximately 40% of your role

  • Assist and support the Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead in the planning and execution of social media activities across platforms, including scheduling, publishing, and community engagement.

  • Support paid social media campaigns to maximise reach, engagement, and ROI.

  • Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns.

A foundational understanding of social media platforms is essential. Advanced social media strategy experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their marketing career.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in video editing software including CapCut or equivalent platforms.

  • Experience with photo editing tools including Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.

  • Competency in Google Workspace including Docs, Sheets, Drive, and related tools.

Personal Attributes

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality visual content.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and content across multiple brands and audiences, in a fast-paced digital environment.

  • Adaptable, eager to learn, and open to embracing new ideas, tools, and platforms as they evolve.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE (NOT ESSENTIAL)

  • Experience using Meta Business Suite for content scheduling and campaign management.

  • Familiarity with content scheduling platforms.

  • Experience using Canva.

  • Current drone commercial licence.

  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and analytics.

  • White Card (General Construction Induction Training).

WHY JOIN NORTH ISLAND CORPORATION?

  • Create content across multiple brands and industries, with no two days the same.

  • Work on exciting live projects and showcase projects from the ground up.

  • Enjoy a mix of office and on-site work in a creative, collaborative environment.

  • Be part of a growing organisation where your ideas and content can make a genuine impact.

  • Competitive salary package based on experience and capability.
