We are looking for motivated and reliable MC Local Driver to join our team in a thriving and rewarding organization at our depot based out at Newcastle.
MC: 4pm
About the role:
Pick up and drop off freight from customers on time, ensuring safe handling and accurate documentation.
Operate heavy vehicles safely and professionally across various driving conditions.
Adhere to NHVR and company policies around Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue Management
Complete all documentation including work diaries, consignment notes, DVORs and timesheets.
Secure loads according to Load Restraint Guidelines and ensure freight is compliant with legal and company standards.
Ensure Dangerous Goods are handled and transported in accordance with regulations.
Maintain cleanliness, safety and roadworthiness of the vehicle.
A strong customer focus is compulsory in meeting and understanding customer needs through the delivery of freight and services.
Assist with distribution duties (stock movements, loading / unloading of product into
racking, general duties etc.)
Attend company and industry specific training to maintain compliance requirements of the company
Assist with other duties as directed by management.
About you:
Have a good clean driving history
Ability to drive manual vehicles.
Minimum 2 years of experience
Have experience driving in the Transport and Logistics Industry.
Must hold a valid MC class Heavy Truck Licence.
A sound understanding of Load Restraint.
Possess excellent organisational skills and time management.
Have a professional manner and presentation.
Possess excellent customer service skills.
Have Dangerous Goods awareness.
Have a good working knowledge of surrounding regions.
