Assistant Maintenance Planner

Full-Time Position | 11:00am – 8:00pm Shift

We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Maintenance Planner to join our maintenance team. This hands-on role combines maintenance administration, inventory control, and stores responsibilities to support the efficient operation of our maintenance department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in maintenance, warehousing, stores, or administration who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong attention to detail.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Planner, you will provide day-to-day support to ensure maintenance activities are planned, documented, and resourced effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and processing maintenance work orders

  • Printing and distributing daily maintenance schedules

  • Signing off completed work orders in the maintenance system

  • Assigning and managing maintenance requests through MEX

  • Booking in incoming parts and materials

  • Putting away stock and maintaining organised inventory storage

  • Conducting regular stocktakes and inventory checks

  • Operating a forklift to move parts, materials, and equipment

  • Supporting the Maintenance Planner with administrative and scheduling activities

  • Maintaining accurate maintenance and inventory records

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current Forklift Licence (essential)

  • Previous experience in maintenance administration, stores, warehousing, or a similar role

  • Strong computer skills and confidence using maintenance or inventory management systems

  • Experience with MEX or other CMMS software (highly regarded)

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A proactive and positive attitude

Work Requirements

  • Full-time position

  • Shift hours: 11:00am – 8:00pm

  • Availability to work two weekends per month as part of a roster

  • Must have a current driver's licence
