The team culture is safety-first, open and progressive, bringing world-first innovations in technology and process together with an inclusive approach to management and team building. We are as flexible and accommodating as we can be, so long as everyone gets on and the job gets done safely.

The Role

We are currently looking for 3 B-double gas tanker drivers to work out of the BOC gas facility on Kooragang Island, Newcastle. A B-double (MC) license and proven, safe driving record are essential and there's no getting around that. The work itself involves loading, and then driving to a changeover point near Coffs Harbour, where you'll swap trailers for the return trip.

Obviously, you'll need to be skilled to perform your work safely and to the high standard that both you and we expect. While you will need to bring your safety-first attitude and MC license with you, full training is provided for the rest and we can even help you with BFM and DG accreditation if you don't yet have them. You'll also need to pass regular medical checks and consent to random alcohol and drug testing and other initiatives so we can be sure you arrive home safely after every shift.

To apply, you'll need:

  • MC B-double license and safe driving record

  • BFM accreditation and DG license (or willingness to gain them)

  • A genuine commitment to the safety of yourself, your colleagues and the general public.

  • A sincere willingness to take personal responsibility while cooperating with and supporting others in your team.

  • High professional standards, including personal presentation and behaviour, attention to detail, driving skills, and communication.

Hours

Expect to typically work in 6 days shifts, always Monday to Saturday. One week you'll drive day shifts, the next week night shifts, and the next week you'll have off. Expect shift lengths to be around 11.5 hours

Rewards

What's in it for you? Well, with permanent full-time work, a stable team, modern equipment, plenty of regular hours and generous wages this is a terrific opportunity. PLUS there are bonuses that recognize and reward your professionalism and safety.

Apply

Just click on the "Apply" button, answer a couple of questions and don't forget to add your complete resume. We'll need to see a copy of your driver's license history too, but if you don't have it right now you can provide it later.
