Chamberlains Law Firm is growing, and we are looking for a high-performing Associate-level, Corporate & Commercial Lawyer to join our Newcastle office. The Role
This role offers exposure to a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, including:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (supply, services, licensing and shareholders’ agreements)
Advising on business structuring, governance and regulatory compliance
Supporting mergers, acquisitions and business sales
Managing general corporate advisory work for a diverse portfolio of clients
Working closely with Partners and senior lawyers on complex transactions
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, commercial legal advice while contributing to the continued growth of the Sydney practice.
About You
We are seeking a motivated and commercially astute lawyer with:
3–6 years’ PAE in corporate and commercial law
Experience gained in a reputable private practice or in-house environment
Strong drafting, negotiation and advisory skills
A proactive mindset and genuine interest in business and commercial outcomes
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
