About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Adviser - WHS Consulting Services to support our National WHS Consulting Services team.  Our team of 6 are curious, collaborative and caring while working together to provide technical and hands-on WHS and Workers Compensation advice to Australian Industry Group members and employers.

This role is suited to a motivated safety professional who is curious and eager to grow and evolve in their safety career. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be coached and mentored by our experience Senior Consultants who have diverse safety backgrounds.

While this role is advertised in Newcastle, we have offices in Parramatta and Sydney so you are welcome to work from these offices if you wish. You have the genuine flexibility to plan your week and work from where it best suits you, including working from home.

Whilst the reality of each day will be different, you can expect to be accountable for:
• Developing and maintaining relationships with Australian Industry Group members to facilitate meaningful impact to enable change.
• Driving exceptional results to employers in a fee-for-service environment.
• Coordinating and delivering on WHS programs and projects at all stages of the service (proposals to project completion).
• Achieving monthly revenue targets and meeting designated KPI's
• Contributing to the development of new business, with warm leads and referrals 
• Building trust and engaging with clients through high-quality, timely project deliverables. 

To best succeed in this role you will have;
• Degree level qualification in WHS, Psychology or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills with the ability to manage client work and relationships.
• Practical hands on knowledge and skills with safety management systems
• Competent report writing (technical and systems composition) skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written), adaptable to change, can build rapport and work effectively with diverse people and teams.
• Ability to multi task and work on multiple projects at once
• Qualified auditor and trainer (not essential, however highly regarded)
• Auditing qualifications (ISO45001 / AS4801 / HACCP / ISO14001) (not essential, however highly regarded)
• Previous professional services or consulting industry experience (desirable)
