About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused People & Culture Business Partner to support our teams across Regional NSW and ACT. Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture (Regional Australia Division), this role partners closely with leaders across multiple sites to deliver practical HR support, drive engagement and help shape a positive employee experience.

You’ll be based at our Edgeworth office and will have the opportunity to influence both day‑to‑day operations and broader people initiatives that support our growing business. This role works in conjunction to two other P&C Business Partners in other states, and has access to additional support from the wider P&C team including recruitment and L&D.

In this pivotal role, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices to deliver strategic and operational support, fostering a positive employee experience and driving organisational success. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will play a critical role during key moments of change, growth, and transformation, ensuring people-focused solutions are aligned with our values and business goals.

What you'll focus on

  • Providing strategic and tactical HR advice and guidance to people leaders in the overall approach to people management, workforce development, and employee engagement.

  • Participating in planning & coordinating the talent review process and translating business and talent development needs to HR requirements; define short-term and long-term plans & programs and initiatives to achieve objectives.

  • Supporting and guiding the P&C coordinator and developing their broader HR skills.

  • Partnering with people leaders to develop workforce planning strategies that align to the business function priorities and overall site strategy, ensuring people implications of business decisions are understood.

  • Using HR data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

  • Collaborating with the People & Culture team to implement policies, processes, and initiatives that align with the organisation's culture and values

  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation in HR practices to enhance the employee experience

  • Actively contributing to the development and execution of the organisation's HR strategy

What we're looking for

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and translate business objectives into effective HR solutions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels

  • Proven track record in delivering HR initiatives that drive organisational effectiveness and employee engagement

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (preferred)

  • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks and organisational compliance obligations.

Why join CDC

  • Work with a supportive P&C team that values collaboration and continuous improvement
