Casual Bartender — Club Kotara
Hours: Casual, approximately 20–30 hours per week
Roster: Rotating across weekdays, evenings, and weekends

About Us

Club Kotara is a licensed bowling and recreation club in the heart of Kotara — just down the road from Westfield and Kotara Station. We're a friendly, community-focused venue with a bar, bistro, gaming lounge, TAB, Keno, BBQ, and a bowling green. We run raffles, trivia, bingo, events, and functions, and we're growing. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of a small, hands-on team where no two shifts are the same.

About the Role

This is a genuine all-rounder position. You'll be behind the bar pouring schooners one minute, helping a member with a gaming query the next, and making coffees before lunch service. It's a great role if you want to build a broad hospitality skill set in a supportive environment.

Your shifts will include:

  • Bar service — drinks, member transactions, keeping the bar clean and stocked

  • Restaurant service - ensuring our guests have a memorable experience.

  • Gaming room attendant duties — customer service on the gaming floor, basic machine queries, compliance awareness

  • General venue duties — setting up for events, restocking, keeping the venue presentable

  • Providing friendly, first-name service to our members and visitors

About You

  • You have a current NSW RSA (required)

  • Willing to obtain a NSW RCG competency card

  • You're comfortable learning new skills (barista, gaming, TAB — we'll train you)

  • You're reliable, punctual, and happy to work a rotating roster including weekends

  • You genuinely like talking to people — our members are regulars and they notice when someone's friendly

Why Club Kotara?

  • A varied role where you'll pick up skills across bar, coffee, resturant, gaming, and events.

  • A local community club with a relaxed, supportive atmosphere

  • Consistent casual hours with the opportunity to grow
