About the role

Metford Takeaway is changing ownership and doing an upgrade, so is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Fast Food Takeaway Staff to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an urgent recruitment drive, and we are looking for individuals who can hit the ground running and deliver exceptional service to our customers. Based in East Maitland NSW 2323, this role offers the perfect opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment where your efficiency and customer service skills will directly contribute to our success. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to preparing quality food and ensuring every customer receives prompt, friendly service.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare and assemble fast food items according to customer orders and quality standards

2. Operate food preparation equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of all work areas

3. Take customer orders accurately and process payments efficiently

4. Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management

5. Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times

6. Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing any queries or concerns

7. Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods

8. Assist with general cleaning and tidying of the takeaway area

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in fast food, kitchen, or hospitality settings (preferred but not essential)

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude

3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

4. Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings

5. Physical fitness and stamina to work standing for extended periods

6. Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and card transactions

7. Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain one

8. A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
