Regal Plus is a Japanese concept café and restaurant located in Warabrook, Newcastle. 

We are seeking full-time Cook to join our growing business.

kills and Experience Required

• At least 2~3 years experience in a similar role

• Experience in cooking made to order with emphasis on Japanese style cuisine

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery

• Experience in leading a team of kitchen and restaurant staff

• The passion to create dishes and be pro-active in designing seasonal menus

• High level of understanding of OH&S Procedures

• Excellent interpersonal skills and great ability to work as part of a team.

Duties:

• examining foodstuffs to ensure quality

• regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment

• preparing and cooking food

• seasoning food during cooking

• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes

• storing food in temperature controlled facilities

• preparing food to meet special dietary requirements

• may plan menus and estimate food requirements

• may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
