About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our growing Speech team. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Speers Point office.

You will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, delivering evidence-based assessment and intervention services to children and families. Caseloads are carefully structured to support clinician wellbeing, professional development, and long-term career sustainability.

As a Speech Pathologist at LAB Learning and Speech, you will manage a paediatric caseload and:

  • Deliver evidence-informed assessment and intervention to support children's communication, language, speech, and social participation

  • Work with children aged 0–12 years, providing family-centred, strength-based therapy

  • Conduct initial consultations and administer standardised Speech Pathology and developmental assessments

  • Collaborate with families to establish meaningful, holistic goals and develop individualised therapy plans

  • Provide services across natural environments, including homes, schools, kindergartens, and clinic settings

  • Work collaboratively within a transdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive support plans

  • Develop therapy resources and practical home-based programs to support skill generalisation

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and registration with Speech Pathology Australia

  • Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience, with strong paediatric knowledge (ages 0–12) across developmental delay, autism, and related presentations

  • Experience in prescribing assistive technology

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and meet goals

  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Commitment to continuous improvement, learning, and professional growth

  • Proficient in using ICT for telehealth, clinical documentation, and online learning

  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Eligibility to work in Australia

  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (role dependent)
