About the opportunity

We are currently seeking a passionate Qualified Carers to join our Care team at our Moran Stockton home, Newcastle.

Reporting to the Care Manager you will be providing quality care and companionship to residents living in our residential home to support their independence and improve their quality of life through activities.

You will be encouraged and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us. You will work with a great team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day. Moran offers a rewarding work environment consisting of modern facilities and equipment and backs individuals to further develop their skills.

We are currently seeking qualified carers to fill multiple shifts across mornings, afternoons, and nights.

If you are compassionate and resourceful individual with passion to improve our residents’ daily life, this role is for you!

Key Duties:

  • Providing high quality essential care, personal assistance and companionship to our residents in accordance with the individual resident’s care plan. The Care Team also includes Registered Nurses, Lifestyle and Allied Health professionals.
  • Interacting daily basis with our residents and their families and must spend the time to get to know each resident’s individual needs and preferences
  • Assisting residents on a daily basis, contributing to resident wellbeing, providing personal hygiene and grooming, nourishment, mobility and other.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support.
  • Commitment to providing a high standard of care and service
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and engage positively with your colleagues
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid working visa
  • Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination including booster
  • Highly organised with strong planning skills.
