Are you a Speech Pathologist looking for a full-time role where you can work closely with families, support children across clinic and school settings, and enjoy the backing of a warm, collaborative team?
This is a lovely opportunity to join a well-established paediatric team in Newcastle, stepping into a full-time role due to an upcoming maternity leave.
You’ll work with a varied paediatric caseload, largely supporting children aged 2–18, with a strong focus on NDIS participants, ASD, ADHD, mild intellectual disabilities, early intervention, and school-based therapy.
You’ll have the flexibility to work across clinic and school settings, with the caseload able to be shaped around your experience, clinical interests, and confidence areas.
• Salary between $90,000 – $110,000 + super
• 50/50 clinic and community role, with school visits close to the clinic
• $2,000 PD budget + fortnightly paid external supervision

About the Role
You will be joining a friendly paediatric allied health team in Newcastle, providing therapy across both clinic and school-based settings. The role is approximately 50/50 clinic and school/ community, with school visits generally located within 30 minutes of the clinic.
The caseload is predominantly paediatric, with children generally aged 2–18 years. There is also some early intervention work, with a strong NDIS focus. Common presentations include ASD, primarily level 1 and level 2, ADHD, mild intellectual disabilities, communication delays, and broader developmental needs.
A typical clinic day includes 45-minute sessions followed by 15 minutes for notes and clinical admin. In the community, sessions may be more back-to-back, with notes completed later in the afternoon.
Standard working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm.
The team is open to discussing your ideal caseload. If there are areas that sit slightly outside your current scope, this can be discussed, and the clinic is happy to offer a more clinic-based caseload where appropriate.
Support Available
You will be supported by a close-knit team of Speech Pathologists, including more experienced clinicians
The clinic has a strong culture of sharing knowledge and discussing clinical cases openly. There is plenty of crossover between services, meaning children may access multiple disciplines within the team, creating opportunities for one-off catch-ups, collaborative planning, and shared care.
Support includes:
• Fortnightly paid external supervision
• Monthly team meetings
• Tricky case discussions
• Open-door support from the wider clinical team
• Access to experienced Speech Pathologists
• $2,000 annual PD budget
• Flexibility to shape your caseload around your strengths and interests
