The role:
As the Community Services Manager, you will provide operational leadership and direction for youth mental health programs spanning the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter New England, and Mid-North Coast regions. Reporting to the Director, you will manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver quality, compliant services aligned with organisational strategy. Your role includes overseeing day-to-day operations, workforce development, stakeholder relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will champion a culture of safety, wellness, and social justice while ensuring responsive, client-focused service delivery.
Requirements:
Graduate qualification in Social Welfare, Social Work, or Psychology
Current registration with relevant professional body (AHPRA/AASW)
Proven leadership experience in human services management
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Current First Aid certificate, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check
Strong skills in service development, team leadership, and budget management
