Drug Test Australia is seeking an experienced Drug & Alcohol Testing Technician to join our casual technician pool.
This role is strictly for applicants with prior workplace drug and alcohol testing experience.
Applications submitted without a tailored cover letter will not be considered.
This is a supplementary casual role and is not suitable as a primary income source.
You will deliver professional, compliant on-site drug and alcohol testing services across a range of client sites, including safety-critical workplaces.
Work is demand-driven and will include:
Early morning starts (from approx. 4.30am)
Short to medium duration shifts (typically 3–4 hours)
Occasional weekend or after-hours work
Applicants must already hold:
Current HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
Demonstrated experience conducting workplace drug and alcohol testing, including:
Oral fluid collections (AS/NZS 4760)
Urine collections (AS/NZS 4308)
Breath alcohol testing
Chain of custody procedures
Sound understanding of:
Donor management
Privacy and confidentiality obligations
Non-negative result handling
Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Professional presentation and confident communication skills
Availability for early morning shifts (4:30am) at least three times per month
Australian permanent residency status
Experience in safety-sensitive or high-risk environments
Knowledge of AS/NZS 4760 and AS/NZS 4308
Availability for early starts and occasional short-notice shifts
