Our Specialist Orthopaedic Practice located in Gateshead NSW, is looking for a skilled and highly motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in medical administration, with exceptional customer service skills, who is highly organised and motivated.

Our growing Practice is looking for the right person offering full time employment.

Your role will be:

• To greet patients in a kind and professional manner.

• Scheduling and managing appointments, surgical procedures and patient enquiries, both in person and over the phone, paying attention to detail.

• Consistently maintain patient confidentiality.

• Communicate with staff and other medical professionals in a clear and friendly manner.

• Complete general administrative tasks as required.

Your skills will consist of:

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar administrative role in a healthcare setting

• Strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to interact with other healthcare professionals, patients and staff in a kind and professional manner

• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively

• Experience with Genie Medical Software

• Understand Medical Terminology

• Knowledge of Medicare and Private Health Funds

• Medical Typing

• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Must be able to work between the varied shift hours of 0730 - 1730 Monday to Friday (Only 8 hours per day).
