Looking for a role where you can focus on great clinical work, enjoy genuine flexibility and be supported to thrive professionally and personally?

At Recovery Station, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team with more than 20 years of experience supporting people across aged care and disability. You’ll work across a diverse adult and adolescent caseload in collaboration with passionate Occupational Therapists, Mental Health OT’s, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants.

Lead, Mentor & Shape the Future of Allied Health

Day to day your caseload will consist of people over 12yrs of age, who may have a range of disabilities (e.g. intellectual disability, Autism, Down Syndrome), neurological events (e.g. stroke, acquired brain injury, brain tumour), and/or a degenerative disease (e.g. Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington’s Disease, dementia).

Your caseload may include:

  • Dysphagia assessment and mealtime management

  • Communication assessment and intervention

  • Aphasia, dyspraxia and voice disorders

  • High and low-tech AAC

  • Functional communication and capacity-building supports

If you are experienced clinician who would like to progress within a leadership role, we'd love to explore this with you. We would be eager to have another senior speechie to provide localised support to our Hunter based Speech Pathology team. You would balance maintaining your own reduced caseload along with supporting clinicians of various experience levels in dedicated management time.

The clinicians who thrive with us:

  • Enjoy the variety of seeing a diverse range of clients in their homes, aged care facilities, group homes, via telepractice and out in the community

  • Appreciate that disability and aged care work means building meaningful relationships and working towards a mix of short and long term goals via therapy and assessments

  • Want to be involved in the array of supervision and training we provide, whether it’s one on ones with your Supervisor, paid external courses, monthly team in-services, the speechie group chat, MDT meetings, our online resource library or our annual companywide training conference
