About the Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable organisation and will see you contribute as part of a collaborative team to effectively manage stock inventory levels to the demands of the hospital.

Some of the key responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions and stock levels
  • Loading and unloading of stock
  • Identify and act on opportunities for improvement
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of others
  • Actively participate as a team member to achieve team goals and to deliver a superior service to in-house customers

About You

To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Relevant skills and work experience in a similar position
  • A sound level of computer literacy, preferably using a purchasing and inventory management system - Technology One experience would be advantageous
  • A high level of customer service with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
  • Sound problem solving, critical thinking and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team exercising independence, judgement, and initiative

Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.

We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
