Job Description
The main objective of the role is to support patients by way of education, nutritional care and support in diet/nutrition to patients, their carers and families, and to support them in the necessary steps to achieve their weight loss goals and develop healthier lifestyle changes.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team. This position will suit new graduates seeking experience or early-stage career dietitians looking for a change. We require an individual for a half to full day per week ongoing.
Educate patients on proper nutrition, portion control, and healthy eating habits to support successful weight loss outcomes
Provide ongoing support and counselling to help patients overcome challenges and maintain long-term success
Implementing and creating new weight loss resources
Involvement in Research and audit process
Option to work both in clinic and hospital if you desire
What will you bring to the role:
Bachelor degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
Some knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and weight loss strategies
Passion to expand your knowledge and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively educate and motivate patients
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Initiative and pro-active attitude
Candidates must have valid Australian work rights or an acceptable work visa
