Newcastle & Hunter Community Health is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Community Registered Nurse (4 days/week) until August 2027 (Maternity Leave Coverage).

About the role/Job Description

As a Community Registered Nurse you will;

  • Work with our team in a hands-on client facing role

  • Medication assistance, assessment and monitoring

  • Wound care and Wound Reports

  • Intake Assessments

  • Continence assessments

  • PEG changing and care

  • SPC/IDC changing and care 

  • Care planning and report writing

  • Workplace support of client care team and new team members appropriate to role.

  • Working within a team of Community RNs & Support Worker’s supporting our clients receive high quality clinical nursing care within their homes.


Essential & Desirable Criteria

The ideal applicant will have;

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse

  • Minimum 2 year’s experience as a Registered Nurse.

  • Ability to maintain high standards of safe clinical care.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.

  • Australian unrestricted Driver's Licence.

  • Criminal record check (or willingness to obtain same)

  • Working with children check (or willingness to obtain same)

  • Current first aid certificate.

  • NDIS worker screen (or willingness to obtain same)

  • Smart phone and internet access.

  • 2 Contactable Manager referees

  • Excellent communication skills
