IT Desktop Support Analyst

Location: Newcastle, NSW
Contract: 12 Month Contract
Rate: $30, $35 per hour + Super

We are seeking an IT Desktop Support Analyst to join one of our clients supporting a major Defence environment in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a secure and highly regarded organisation, providing desktop and technical support to end users while contributing to critical Defence projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop support across hardware, software and peripheral devices
* Troubleshoot and resolve user incidents and service requests
* Support the deployment of desktop devices, applications, software packages and patches
* Install, configure and maintain Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
* Assist with desktop imaging, system testing and documentation activities
* Support end users during application rollouts and acceptance testing
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, requests and technical documentation
* Contribute to maintaining system performance, stability and security

About You

* Previous experience in an IT Desktop Support, Service Desk or Technical Support role
* Strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments
* Experience with software installation, deployment and troubleshooting
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

Mandatory Requirements

* Australian Citizenship is essential
* Must be eligible to obtain an AGSVA Security Clearance
* Experience working in Defence or Government environments is highly regarded
