This is a senior role with a respected boutique engineering consultancy based in Maitland, delivering essential water infrastructure projects across regional NSW. You’ll work closely with experienced leaders, take ownership of projects from investigation through to design and delivery, and play a key role in shaping practical solutions for councils, utilities and regional communities.
The Opportunity
Verve Partners is partnering with a highly regarded regional engineering consultancy specialising in water and wastewater infrastructure. Based in Maitland, this experienced and agile team provides end-to-end engineering services across investigation, design, documentation, project management and delivery support.
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery of civil water infrastructure projects while working closely with leadership and clients. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own projects, contribute technical solutions, build trusted stakeholder relationships and support junior engineers as the team continues to grow.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the work, close to the client and close to the outcome.
Key Responsibilities - Lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery support
- Prepare and review technical designs, reports, specifications and documentation
- Manage project budgets, timelines, deliverables and client expectations
- Work across infrastructure including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities and broader water systems
- Build and maintain relationships with councils, clients, contractors and regulatory stakeholders
- Identify risks, resolve technical issues and contribute to practical project outcomes
- Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to team capability
What You’ll Bring - Civil Engineering degree or related qualification
- Senior-level experience in water, wastewater or civil infrastructure projects within Australia
- Strong technical capability across pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities or related water assets
- Confidence managing projects, clients and stakeholders
- Strong communication, problem-solving and documentation skills
- CPEng status highly regarded but not essential
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally as required
