About the Role

The Site Supervisor position is a foundational role for Malora Homes.  This is a full-time, permanent role operating out of our Mayfield office.  The role will enable the right candidate to establish systems and processes that form the basis for future growth of Malora Homes.

As the Site Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle of multiple residential builds simultaneously, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.  Your leadership will guide a team of subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction Supervision: Manage multiple construction sites from commencement to completion, ensuring adherence to plans, standards, specifications, budgets, and schedules.

• Client Liaison: Ensure a positive customer experience by establishing and building strong relationships with clients and providing regular progress updates.

• Safety & Compliance: Establish and maintain safe construction sites, ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety (WH&S) regulations.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and co-ordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to deliver high quality dwellings, on time and on budget.

• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve construction issues to eliminate or minimise impacts and keep projects on track.

• Quality:  Ensure all construction is compliant with the NCC, and that any defects are promptly identified, captured and rectified.  Additionally, provide constructive feedback to improve building design and constructability of dwellings.

• Administration: Working collaboratively with the Project Manager, manage all administration aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, suppliers, defects, EoT’s, callups, variations, etc. using On-Site Companion construction management software.  Additionally, manage site safety using HazardCo safety management software.

• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to review project compliance, progress, timelines, and budgets.  Furthermore, working closely with engineers and certifiers to ensure construction inspections and compliance are achieved.

About You:

You will be a very welcomed member of a small, but growing team.  A team that supports each other but is constantly challenging each other to lift the bar.  You will also need to be adaptable as and when business challenges arise.

In particular, we’re looking for someone who has the following:

• Experience: At least 5 years’ experience concurrently supervising multiple residential construction projects.  You will need experience supervising single and two-storey dwellings, from site cut and slab pour, through to final builders clean and defects rectification.  Applicants with renovation experience will also be highly regarded.

• Qualifications: An appropriate building industry qualification is mandatory, as well as first aid qualifications and ideally with a supervisor license.  Furthermore, you will also require a current driver’s license and General Construction Induction (White Card).

• Regulatory Knowledge: A sound, working understanding of the current NCC (National Construction Code) and WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) regulations.

• IT & Administration Skills: Strong proficiency in using construction management software, safety management software, email, and the MS Office suite of programs.

• Customer-Focused: Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing priority service to clients and ensuring their satisfaction.

• Problem-Solver: Ability to pro-actively identify issues quickly and implement solutions efficiently.

• Organized: Exceptional time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and conflicting demands at once.
