About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Roads to join the Infrastructure and Assets team with our client located in the Dungog Shire.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver critical road and transport infrastructure projects that enhance the safety, accessibility, and liveability of the community.

You will be responsible for managing the planning, design, procurement and delivery of road construction, rehabilitation and maintenance projects across the road network.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of road and civil infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion.

  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project outcomes.

  • Oversee procurement activities, contract administration, and contractor performance.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, engineering standards, and policies.

  • Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Manage community and stakeholder engagement throughout project delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience managing road or civil infrastructure projects

  • Strong knowledge of road design, construction, maintenance, and contract management principles.

  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • A current driver's licence.
