Home Support Workers in Newcastle - Casual Work

Job Location: Caves Beach, Belmont, Charlestown, and nearby suburbs

Job responsibilities:

**To support the elderly and clients with disabilities at home.

• Personal care - showering, dressing up, toileting, transfer assistance, etc.
• Domestic assistance - assistance with cleaning and other housework.
• Meal preparation - cooking and preparing meals for the client.
• Transport service/ social support - driving to appointments, outings, shopping, and other recreational activities.

Basic job requirements (for domestic assistance):

• First Aid (HLTAID003, HLTAID011, HLTAID004, HLTAID012)
• NDIS Worker Screening ID or AU National Police Check
• COVID-19 fully vaccinated with booster
• Available most days and can start ASAP
• Willing to work on a casual basis and to travel in the surrounding suburbs

For personal care service, you must have all the above requirements and:

• Cert III/IV in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support or Nursing

For transport services, you must have all the basic requirements and:

• Comprehensive car insurance - with your name as an insured driver
• Full driver's licence
• Car Registration

Additional qualifications (preferably with but not required):

• Manual Handling
• Working with Children Check
• Dementia Certificate
