ReadyUp Skills youth development program assists young people to understand the world around them as they enter adult life after school. Our aim is to develop confidence through skills such as independent living, road safety and independence, creativity and work readiness skills including access to accredited learning opportunities. These programs are designed to build confidence in the young people accessing our NDIS, Community and High School Based programs.
We are currently looking for an experienced, self motivated individual to deliver quality services across our Charlestown site and within the community.
You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers person-centred support to assist high functioning participants to build self confidence, understand adult responsibility and maintain a quality of life with dignity, respect and social inclusion.
What we are looking for:
Experience in the education, disability or youth sector
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Genuine and outgoing personality
Confident public speaker
Strong networking skills
Proven computer skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team supporting individuals and groups
Demonstrated awareness of disability, youth and the issues they face
Drivers licence and fully insured vehicle
Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
Experience working with mental health
Experience working in a high school environment
Experience in a trainer assessor environment
Current First Aid Certificate
