House Supervisor – Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Thrive Community Services is a registered NDIS provider supporting individuals across Supported Independent Living (SIL), Individual Living Options (ILO), Support Coordination, Respite, and Supervised Family Time. We operate through a trauma-informed, person-centred approach that empowers people to thrive.

We’re seeking a passionate House Supervisor to lead SIL supports across the Hunter and Lake Macquarie region. This is a dynamic leadership role combining frontline support, team management, and service coordination.


About the Role

  • Lead, coach and mentor small teams of frontline staff

  • Coordinate daily operations across SIL homes

  • Facilitate team, house, and client meetings

  • Oversee support plans, risk management, and WHS compliance

  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting

  • Manage site rostering and participate in on-call duties

  • Support onboarding and induction of new team members


What You’ll Bring

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Disability, Mental Health, or Community Services (or 2+ years relevant experience)

  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS and trauma-informed practice

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills

  • Commitment to rights-based, person-centred support

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

  • NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, First Aid, and NDIS Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)


Bonus Skills

  • Positive Behaviour Support training

  • Experience in complex residential settings

  • Familiarity with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention
