New Turee is an O’Brien family-owned and Nash family-operated cattle breeding, backgrounding, and finishing pastoral company with operations at Cassilis (“Yarralee”), Woodville (“Stradbroke”) and Coolah (“Old Turee”) in New South Wales.

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and committed Private Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at the iconic Stradbroke station, located near Woodville, NSW. This is a casual position with regular weekend shifts, including overnight stays (generally every second weekend). Flexibility is highly valued, as hours and days of work may vary based on the client’s evolving needs.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the life of an individual living on the station, supporting their independence and wellbeing in a familiar and meaningful rural setting.

We are especially looking for candidates located in Maitland (2320) or within approximately 30 minutes of Stradbroke, who can be available at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide social companionship and emotional support

  • Assist with transport to appointments, shopping and outings

  • Deliver respectful and dignified personal care

  • Support with grocery shopping and errands

  • Undertake light domestic duties including cleaning and laundry

  • Prepare and assist with meals

  • Communicate effectively with clients, families and healthcare professionals

  • Maintain accurate records and report wellbeing changes or concerns

  • Foster a warm, trusting and respectful environment at all times

Experience & Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or equivalent)

  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)

  • Current Working with Children Check

  • National Police Check clearance

  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing environments

  • Genuine passion for supporting the elderly

Desirable Attributes

  • Minimum 12 months aged care experience (residential, home, or community)

  • Experience supporting clients living with dementia

  • Understanding of rural or remote care environments

  • Experience with manual handling and mobility assistance

  • Current driver’s licence
