About the role

Caring Support (NSW) Pty Ltd is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our team in the Rutherford and Cessnock area NSW. This role offers flexible working arrangements to support individuals with disability care needs in the local community.

What you'll be doing

• Providing personal care assistance, such as showering, dressing, assistance with transfers, hoisting and all support needs to assist in daily living activities.

• Medication and Insulin administration

• Completion of a medication administration course is required for all medication and insulin administration duties

• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks

• Accompanying and supporting clients to attend appointments or social activities

• Monitoring and reporting on client well-being and any changes in their condition

• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible care for our clients

What we're looking for

• Experience in the disability sector in Supported Independent Living homes.

• A minimum of 2 years experience in the disability sector is required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

• Patience, empathy, enthusiasm, a happy, kind nature with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives

• A current driver's license and reliable transportation

• A full driver's licence is required for this position

• Excellent time management and organisational skills area

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shift work, weekends and public holidays

• Valid work visa or appropriate work rights are required

• National police check, NDIS worker screening check, and working with vulnerable people clearance are all required
