THE ROLE

Bimbadgen Estate is a leading destination offering award-winning dining, cellar door experiences, large-scale events including A Day on the Green, and boutique vineyard accommodation. Bimbadgen Palmers Lane is a well-established, purpose-built wedding venue renowned for delivering exceptional celebrations. Emma’s Cottage Vineyard offers a more intimate experience, with boutique accommodation, cellar door, gift shop, and a charming wedding and events space.

Together, these venues provide a diverse range of experiences, from large-scale events to boutique stays, all set within the natural beauty of the Hunter Valley.

This role will take ownership of end-to-end finance, supporting both reporting and operations, and working closely with the General Manager, Head Winemaker and leadership teams to drive performance, cost control and decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to

• Prepare monthly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Manage inventory accounting and vintage costing across bulk wine and finished goods
• Oversee month-end close, reconciliations and compliance
• Partner with operations on pricing, margins and performance insights
• Manage cash flow and working capital (AP/AR)
• Manage a team of 3 accounting support staff
• Drive process improvements and business partnering with all the different departments to drive efficiencies

YOUR BACKGROUND

• CA / CPA qualified
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance
• Background in wine, hotel or hospitality industry preferred
• Understanding of liquor wholesale & export would be advantageous
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Commercial mindset, detail-oriented and hands-on
• Curiosity to learn about operational business processes
