The Opportunity
Veolia is seeking an Alliance Finance Manager to drive financial excellence and commercial strategy across the Hunter Water Alliance—a collaborative, multi organisation partnership delivering safe, compliant water and wastewater services to the community.
In this leadership role, your financial acumen will directly influence service delivery, stakeholder relationships, and organisational performance. You'll manage all commercial aspects of the Alliance, report to the General Manager Finance - Water, and be a key member of the Alliance Management Team, contributing strategic financial direction while championing a values-driven culture that prioritises safety, innovation, and best for project outcomes.

What you'll be responsible for
Leading annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including Annual Budget Cost (ABC) and Risk & Opportunity management
Preparing, submitting, and approving monthly payment claims under the Services Alliance Agreement
Delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with clear performance insights and Painshare/Gainshare analysis
Coordinating independent financial verification and implementing robust financial systems and processes
Partnering with senior leadership to set aligned financial goals and present performance analysis to Alliance stakeholders
Contributing to Alliance Management Team decisions on multi discipline issues and championing a safety-first, high-performance culture
Work locations: Primarily Veolia Alliance Office, Tomago 2322 with Newcastle CBD 1 day per week for stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Need to be Successful
Leadership experience in a commercial role
Relevant tertiary qualification
Proven experience managing strategic partnerships or complex contracts
Track record in budget forecasting and client progress claims
